In Leslie’s words:
What I love the most about Dr. Doss’ office is that because he does not have a nurse practitioner or physician’s assistant, you see him with every visit. Whether it was many of the OB visits during my 3 pregnancies, my annual well-woman exams, or any other issues in-between, I would always see his smiling face walk through the door with a “Well, how are we this morning?” It is that personal relationship that builds the trust in your doctor and comfort that he actually knows you and your history, not by looking at your chart, but by looking at your face.
Dr. Doss always has the best interest at heart for you and your baby. He is not going to rush your labor along because it is 5 p.m. and he’d like to get home in time for dinner. He is not the kind of doctor who will encourage you to induce early because of his upcoming fishing trip. He will talk you through all of your questions and concerns in a matter-of-fact, no-nonsense way and you will leave knowing that his answers and advice are based on what is best for you and not what is most convenient for him.
Dr. Doss tries to deliver all of his babies. Two of my three children were born after-hours or on the weekend and, although he was not on call, he was present for their deliveries. It is that dedication and loyalty to his patients that keeps us coming back to him and referring our friends to him.
